Football in Hampshire's past

Sport always brings people together no matter the form and no matter the point in history. We've been inspired by this year's World Cup and decided to take a dive into our historic photograph collection for all things football in Hampshire through the years.

Football in Hampshire has an unconventional past, whether it's the North Hants Motorcycle Football team, or a game played by Winchester College rules, it always makes for exciting viewing.

Take a look at some photographs of football in Hampshire from the historic photograph collection which is cared for by Hampshire Cultural Trust.
