Let’s create together: creative activities for families - origami swan

As part of Refugee Week 2022, we are inviting you to take part in a series of creative activities for families. We hope these origami activities will encourage creativity and conversation to celebrate our rich communities, looking after ourselves and each other in difficult times and new beginnings. We think creativity is a great way to come together, so these activities are accessible in English, Ukrainian, Pashto and Arabic.

Activity: How to make an origami swan

Swans are very loyal water birds. Their loyalty to their mates is so famous that the image of two swans swimming with their necks together in the shape of a heart has become a symbol of love across the world. A little love can go a long way. Have a think – how can you show love to others in your community as well as those close to you in your family?

Here is an example of a swan from our collections. Click on the image to find out more about this piece.
