Let’s create together: creative activities for families - origami sail boat

As part of Refugee Week 2022, we are inviting you to take part in a series of creative activities for families. We hope these origami activities will encourage creativity and conversation to celebrate our rich communities, looking after ourselves and each other in difficult times and new beginnings. We think creativity is a great way to come together, so these activities are accessible in English, Ukrainian, Pashto and Arabic.

Activity: How to make an origami sail boat

Boats help us to travel across water – when we climb into a boat, we travel as refugees, as explorers, as voyagers and as passengers coming from different places with different thoughts and feelings. What could you do to look after yourself or a friend when they are feeling sad?

This is a watercolour painting of a boat; there are lots more to take a look at here within our collections.
