The 22nd Commonwealth Games will soon be underway in Birmingham. We know that Hampshire has a strong sporting pedigree, and this year Hampshire athletes are representing England in a range of events, including weightlifting, hockey, athletics and gymnastics.
We thought we would take a look back at some of the Commonwealth Games events through historic sporting photographs from our collection.
