Arts #ProgrammerPicks: Ed.8

Settle in for storytime with a top comedian, a serious electro live stream and behind the scenes content from one of the UK's best loved physical theatre companies. It's this week's #ProgrammerPicks from the live programme team at West End Centre, Ashcroft Arts Centre and Forest Arts Centre.

Let us know what you think every week using the #ProgrammerPicks hashtag!

Sarah Millican is reading extracts from her hit autobiography How to be Champion on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube every day. She's been releasing snippets since the beginning of lockdown so there are plenty of videos to binge watch - the perfect pick-me-up!

Catch London based, electronic duo Million Square (Max Luthert and Duncan Eagles) at 7pm on Friday 12 June in a Serious Livestream Session. They have performed live around London since their debut EP in 2018, honing their sound - a skillful blend of modular synthesisers, triggers and live manipulation of acoustic instruments.

During their Serious Livestream Session, they will be performing their brand new release Spirit Bloom, as well as some tracks from their previous release Between Suns, and an exclusive performance of their upcoming new single

You'll be able to watch them live here and you can stream Spirit Bloom in the meantime...

Go behind the scenes of acclaimed physical theatre company Frantic Assembly; with insights into the creative and rehearsal process (Frantic Flashbacks), practical creative tasks (Frantic Create) and fun, production related warm ups that can all be tried at home. They add new content each week based around a different Frantic Assembly production!

Check out this lovely heart-warming movement sequence in response to the creative task for Things I Know To Be True...

See you next Monday for more #ProgrammerPicks!
