This half term Hampshire Cultural Trust arts centres are celebrating and encouraging you to get involved with Random Acts of Kindness week!

Random Acts of Kindness week is all about appreciating the kindness you've seen other people demonstrate and getting you thinking about how you can show kindness to others. Over the course of this week we post three kindness themed activities for you and the kids to do at home...

📬 Create and send a random postcard of kindness

Have you ever written a postcard? Have you ever sent one?

In an age of electronic messages, there’s nothing quite like real post coming through the door. We’re staying in most of the time, but that doesn’t stop us sending messages across the street – or around the world!

Share kindness through this writing exercise that’s been put together by local writer William Sutton, who recently hosted a very popular workshop at Ashcroft Arts Centre. Listen to the video for the full exercise and download our postcard template here to help you on your way...

If you want to share what you make this week, tag Ashcroft Arts Centre on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Random Acts of Kindness Top Pick:

The Ashcroft Arts team love the idea of making a kindness jar to keep at home. Visit the Random Acts of Kindness website for information on how to make one for yourself and other ideas on how to show kindness to yourself and others this week!

Think about what your favourite activity or way to show kindness is?
