A mural to marvel at!

It's out with the old, in with the new! Last month, we tasked the young people of the New Forest to come and help us design a new mural, a striking piece of art that greets all visitors of Forest Arts Centre in New Milton.

We had over 40 children participate in our sessions as they each made their marks within the vibrant piece. We asked for magical forest animals, items to do with the arts centre and self-portraits to really add that personal feel, reflecting that sense of community for which Forest Arts is well known.

Mural inspiration from young contributors

From the curious to the absurd, to the funny and the beautiful, our participants did a fantastic job as they incorporated colourful butterflies, mystical toadstools as well as some self-portraits.

We'd like to extend special thanks to local artist Keith Rogers who helped make this giant colouring-in project possible.
