Behind Forest Arts Centre's #ArtsventCalendar door thirteen...
This festive period Forest Arts Centre and New Milton Men’s Shed have teamed up to give you the gift of upskilling. Join Harry, with over 30 years experience, as he talks us through how to re-upholster a small stool using a traditional approach...
This short upholstery tutorial is part of a wider project funded by Hampshire County Council to help reach isolated communities. DIY packs have been made and are being sent out to isolated families affected by the pandemic in the New Forest Area, all referred by New Forest District Council. Packs include pre-cut materials, instructions and video tutorials to make Christmas trees, kitchen clocks and hedgehog houses whilst at home.
This is just one of the many amazing projects we get to work on at Hampshire Cultural Trust, helping to bring communities together and changing lives through culture.
Keep up to date with more #ArtsventCalendar content throughout December here on Culture on Call, or on all three arts centre Instagram accounts: West End Centre in Aldershot, Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham and Forest Arts Centre in New Milton.
