Ashcroft Arts may not be getting its monthly fix of James Alderson and Friends, but do not fear… James is still making us laugh EVERY DAY on Facebook. Whether it’s a lockdown update or his daily CHEERS at 8.30pm via Facebook LIVE there’s something to smile about. Checking in with James is a definite quarantine pick-me-up and if you enjoy yourself that much you can even ‘buy him a beer’, just like you’re down the local pub…

We’re looking forward to hosting Errol Linton at all three arts centres in the future, but for now you can enjoy this studio video release for Howlin’ For My Darlin from his new album No Entry. The album is now available to stream online and you can also pre-order a limited edition Vinyl or CD out October 2020!

Unicorn Theatre has made their very first entirely digitally theatre experience for ages 3-8, Anansi the Spider Re-Spun, streamed in partnership with The Guardian. Inspired by the Unicorn's 2019 five-star hit show, Anansi the Spider, they’ve adapted the classic West African and Carribean tales about the infamous mischief-maker and master spinner of yarns.

This fun online performance, featuring music, song and humour is an exciting new adventure, with cast members filming themselves in their own homes! Episodes will be released every week on Unicorn Theatre’s YouTube channel at 11am from Saturday 30 May and will be available to watch on demand in the week's after.
